Calling all critters challenge!

Lawnscaping Challenge #8 - Calling all Critters

A very quick post to show my last card. Lawnscaping has a challenge "calling all critters" and I decided to use my critters in the burbs set I just got. I decided to use the little dog and pair it with a kite from an OA set I got last year.
Does it look like the dog is actually playing with the kite??? I hope so because that was my intention! I also added a little bird from the same critters in the burb set.
I colored the dog with copics and paper pierced some areas, as well as the kite and the tiny bows. I used a cloud background rubber stamp from HA on pti rustic card stock for a relaxed feel. Then I add a tiny rhinestone on the doggie's tag. I apologize for the low quality pictures but I barely had some minutes to snap the pic before my baby started playing with my camera!

Another angle to show the depth of the focal stamp :) I love LF whimsical critters!

For the sentiment I use a new sentiment set from HA that dear Chan sent me. That was the very 1st time I won a giveaway!! Thank you, Chan! I will definitely be using this set again!

Thanks for visiting :)

A card for a child

Hi! I'm back posting this card I juts finished and I hope I'm still on time for the Simon Says Stamp Challenge "for a child."
I recently got several yummy stamps from Simon Says Stamp and the one I needed to stamp right away was this cute PB girl:

This is the 1st time I paper piercing but I got so inspired by Marit's video tutorial, from scrapalicious, that I needed to try this technique. I know it's so far from perfection but I enjoyed making it. I also tried, for the 1st time, using my sewing machine and as you can see, the stitches are not straight, lol. I know I need to keep practicing :)

I wondered how children in Japan should be feeling being displaced in shelters, having lost all their belongings or even worse, their relatives. So, the sentiment for this card needed to be optimistic and cheerful. If those kids know that the most important thing is what they treasure in their hearts, maybe they will feel a little bit better. That's my hope, at least.

I hope you like this card.

Bye now!

I am entering this card into the following challenge:
Simon Says Stamp

paper: PTI, OA, MME
stamps: PB, PTI (sentiment)

Revamped TCM store!

Yes, Lisa, from The Craft Meow announced wonderful news! Check it out on her blog.

Sigh... I thought my budget was tight but maybe I can stretch it a lil' bit :)

Bye now!

More cards

I finally had a chance to shoot these pics of some cards I made. The 1st card is from the TGF set I got a week ago. I think he doesn't really look like a traveler since his clothes are really clean, lol. The moment I saw this stamp on Alice Wertz's blog, I knew I knew I needed to get it! I copied it, uhm, got inspired and made my version:

I'm not sure about this one, it seems to me that the background is kinda distracting from the focal stamp:

I wanted to enter this one in a contest but I'm so insecure about it. Maybe I will get it better next time:

I adore this PMS fairy! My coloring sucked but I enjoyed making it nonetheless:

Oops, my 1st copic card, I made it last year and I haven't sent it to my MIL; I think I can improve it:
Until next time! Thanks for visiting!

Finally a card!

I have neglected posting here because I have had more than I could handle but I try to stamp as much as I can.
This is supposed to be a quick post, though. I got my new TGF stamps this last week and I needed to start playing with them right away! I managed to get this card done in a couple of hours. I paired this pretty girl with Graphic 45 paper (once upon a spring time) and some OA I got from Claudia's store( I love that little store because she ships right away and I always get my goodies in less than 3 days!).

I know my coloring is still in its infancy but I love coloring with my copics! I'm waiting for a small order (24, lol) of copics from a store that I'm not sure I like (carpe diem), the copics, sketch, were on sale, 3.90 each, but then their customer service is awful! They just don't tell you when your order is shipped and for clearing your payment, they take 3-4 days! Otaku fuel is muuuuch better about that but their prices are not on sale right now (4.90 regularly).

Okay, enough venting, lol. Thanks for visiting!
