La-la land stamp

Back to post this cute Marci from La-la land. I love these stamps because they're perfect for copic coloring! Anyway, I paired Marcy with a doily from Cheery Lynn (I love it!) and yummy light color paper.

I will try to post more cards but since I have full house here, who knows when I will be able to post before our trip to Canada. Take care and thank you for visiting and taking the time to comment.

cupcake mouse

Hi there! I'm back to post this really quick. I'm supposed to get ready (and baby) to go see a teacher who is retiring today! Aww, after more than 30 years of impeccable work and patience to 2nd graders...
Anyway, I have this card which is kinda neutral, for a girl or a boy, but celebrating (any event, told ya it was neutral!)

I tried to capture the glittery candles (stickles) and icing ( pink spica) but my photography skills are in its infancy.
I have more cards that I need to photograph but maybe during the weekend. Thank you for visiting and enjoy the holidays!

Class with Lisa Phillippi

Lisa Phillippi teaches different techniques at my local stamp store and I took one of her classes last Thursday to learn more about coloring with odorless mineral spirit and prismacolors. Lisa is a very nice person and she creates really beautiful cards, I hope I can take another class with her.

In the class I took, we were supposed to finish 2 cards but I could barely finish one because we ran out of time and babysitting was over after 2 hours. However, I finished one just today and decided to post it before it gets buried in my pile of un-photographed cards.

As you may know, the bluebonnet is the Texas flower and Lisa chose this bluebonnet seed packet stamp for the class. It is so gorgeous! I will pair it with some new gardening stamps (that will arrive next week!).You can see, the flowers were not colored, we used paper punches and different stylus to create 3d flowers. I tried this 3d technique years ago but nothing this fancy! Thank you, Lisa!

I used distress inks, copics, prismacolors, mineral spirit, hand-dyed rayon seam binding (provided by Lisa) and the pp I have no idea :) I hope I can use this stamp again!

Thanks for visiting :)

Finally a sparkle creation card!

Hi there!, It has been a little while since I posted but I've been really busy. However, I've been coloring a lot and experimented with different media.
Anyway, after visiting (so several times a day!) Alice Wertz's blog, one can't resist trying the cute images she uses! Alice is extremely talented and for a long time I thought she was a copic instructor because her coloring is superb!
She is currently in several DTs (told you she's talented) and Sparkle Creations is one of them.

I love their stamps and I recently ordered some of them, including Cafe Lucy. I totally enjoyed coloring her and for a long time I didn't know how to start making the card! I don't follow sketches (I should, I know!) and after ordering a-lot- of paper (like Pink Paisley) and reading the Sparkle blog challenge (using a flower) inspiration came!

I paired Lucy with pink paisley-butterfly collection, Tim Hultz's French collection stamps, a doily (from Cheery Lynn) and a hand made flower (check the glitter!) I enjoyed making :)

I'm entering this card into the following challenge:

More paper piercing!

Hi, it's me again with a very short post. I bought this cute girl stamp from Lisa's store and it has been sitting quietly!

I colored her with copics; I'm slowly getting to the blending point but I need to keep practicing. I decided to paper pierce her dress and even though there are 3 layers in her, the silicone glue I bought to give it dimension and more "body" to the paper, got all flat. Hopefully you can see the different layers.

I used Prima and BoBunny paper and PTI. I die cut the edge of the pp with a PTI edger die. I also added a doily from Cheery Lynn, which I inked with some antique linen distressing ink. I finished it with a little banner and a pink button.

I'm entering this card to the following challenge:
