Another Mo manning card

Thanks for your nice comments on my cards; I greatly appreciate them.
I have bought many Mo's images but it's so hard to choose which to color! I loved these 2 images (which I put together for obvious reasons) and although I know they would be more challenging to color, I decided to only use 4 family colors. I know I have to keep practicing but I really liked how it turned out.

The images were impressed on x-press copic paper (I love it!) and die cut with nestabilities label 1 and label 1 small. I added some sparkle to her earring; I hope you can see it but it's hard to capture that on this bad quality pictures. Sorry!
A very simple card that reminds me that I need to improve my cooking!
Thanks for visiting :)

Torico's digi!

Hi everybody! I hope you are enjoying this week and staying cool. Here in San Antonio we have reached the 3 digits! 105 F! So, please, drink plenty of water while you stamp!

Anyway, enough of my rambling. I found Torico's digis while surfing the net for cute digis and I knew I had to have hers!

My card features this pretty girl, just bloomed, which I paired with Memory box paper, twine and a felt flower I made with a scalloped circle nestability. The sentiment comes from a nice HA set I won, courtesy of dear Chan!

This card is going to my husband's grandmother :)

Thanks for visiting!

Wee digi

Hi everybody. I hope your week is going well so far. I'm having a lot of fun with digital images for my cards. There are several good quality brands out there but since I love girly-cute images, I found Wee stamps a perfect fit :)

Wee stamps are designed by Silvia Zet, probably you guys already know her store :)
I chose fairy colors (not pink this time!) and since I hadn't colored anything in BG and V colors (copic), this was the right time. I finally got x press copic paper and I can tell you it's the best paper for copic markers. Your blending comes almost effortless and you don't waste precious ink like when you use thicker paper like pti (it takes longer to achieve decent blending imo).

I paired this cutey with the wonderful memory box paper (hmm, I guess it is Pixie and minuet) and nestabilities 18 for the focal die image. I had to add some sparkle to the scene and to the little one's nose.
A button from BG and a tiny tag from pti complete my card. Thank you for visiting my blog.

A Mo Manning image!

Hi everybody! It's been a while since I posted but we have been traveling a lot, having friends visiting us and getting ready for our big move overseas in the next weeks.

Anyway, I'm happy to report that now I'm able to print digi images (after so much trial and error) for my cards!! And I am especially happy because I have found these cute Mo Manning digi images. I found them thanks to dear Alice Wertz who always creates beautiful cards, so beautiful that they made me buy a laser printer only for printing digi images.

I have tried different media, such as watercolors, distress inks, Twinkling H2Os and copics. I especially like the H2Os; so shimmery!

Anyway, enough of my rambling, here's my card:
The picture is not perfect but if I don't post this now, who knows when I will do it! :)
The patterned paper is from Memory box (I love their paper!!! and my LSS carries all their products!), I used labels 1 for my focal and of course, the cute Mo Manning image! I don't know about the dog colors... I think I'll choose different colors next time.

Thanks for visiting and have a wonderful rest of the weekend!

Birthday card

Hi back! I better post this before my "craft time" is over :) I used a cute PB stamp for this birthday card. I need to send it to my friend (kind of belated greetings! oops) and I hope she likes it :)

I used the new paper line from MME life of the party. Since the paper is kinda too colorful, I was afraid there was no space for the sentiment... I hope it doesn't look too saturated/over the top. I used some spica pens to highlight the flowers but it's hard to catch the shine.

Not my best coloring (I colored this like 2 months ago! (I know, shame on me!) but I'm still learning and have some fun during the process.
Thanks for visiting and for your nice comments. Have a great Sunday!

Back from Canada!

Hi everybody! I was absent for some days because I was on vacation :) We visited our family in Canada. Awww, I loved it! If you happen to visit Vancouver, don't forget Granville Island! It's great for family time (kids can go to the kids area, with lots of entertainment and shops!) and you can peruse the many art galleries or get some fish and chips (the best place for seafood!).

Anyway, this is supposed to be quick because my baby is napping and only have 30 more minutes. Here I have a card I made for my husband's birthday!

A closer view of the bike:

I used the emboss-resist technique (?) with some versamark, ranger inks and kraft paper. The bike stamp comes from a HA set I just got for him (DH is a mountain biker!). The green color is not that dark, is a little more bright.

Not perfect but my husband liked it :)

Bye now!

La-la land stamp

Back to post this cute Marci from La-la land. I love these stamps because they're perfect for copic coloring! Anyway, I paired Marcy with a doily from Cheery Lynn (I love it!) and yummy light color paper.

I will try to post more cards but since I have full house here, who knows when I will be able to post before our trip to Canada. Take care and thank you for visiting and taking the time to comment.

cupcake mouse

Hi there! I'm back to post this really quick. I'm supposed to get ready (and baby) to go see a teacher who is retiring today! Aww, after more than 30 years of impeccable work and patience to 2nd graders...
Anyway, I have this card which is kinda neutral, for a girl or a boy, but celebrating (any event, told ya it was neutral!)

I tried to capture the glittery candles (stickles) and icing ( pink spica) but my photography skills are in its infancy.
I have more cards that I need to photograph but maybe during the weekend. Thank you for visiting and enjoy the holidays!

Class with Lisa Phillippi

Lisa Phillippi teaches different techniques at my local stamp store and I took one of her classes last Thursday to learn more about coloring with odorless mineral spirit and prismacolors. Lisa is a very nice person and she creates really beautiful cards, I hope I can take another class with her.

In the class I took, we were supposed to finish 2 cards but I could barely finish one because we ran out of time and babysitting was over after 2 hours. However, I finished one just today and decided to post it before it gets buried in my pile of un-photographed cards.

As you may know, the bluebonnet is the Texas flower and Lisa chose this bluebonnet seed packet stamp for the class. It is so gorgeous! I will pair it with some new gardening stamps (that will arrive next week!).You can see, the flowers were not colored, we used paper punches and different stylus to create 3d flowers. I tried this 3d technique years ago but nothing this fancy! Thank you, Lisa!

I used distress inks, copics, prismacolors, mineral spirit, hand-dyed rayon seam binding (provided by Lisa) and the pp I have no idea :) I hope I can use this stamp again!

Thanks for visiting :)
